On 21 and 22 May 2026, MUDEM and Banca d'Italia will take part in Accessibility Days, the event dedicated to accessibility and disability issues, and aimed at the people and organizations who design, develop, create or communicate digital content in all fields, including education. The initiative coincides with Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), the international campaign for promoting awareness around digital accessibility, held annually in May.
The goal? To foster the exchange of ideas and good practices, as well as interactions among professionals and people with disabilities to build a more inclusive digital world.
On the first day, MUDEM staff will give a demonstration of the Museum's augmented reality solutions, designed to ensure full accessibility for deaf visitors too. At our stall, attendees will be able to try out the smart glasses that display the subtitles to the Adventure of Money section of the museum.
On May 22, there will be the presentation of the tactile path, which makes the Museum open to the participation and involvement of blind and visually impaired visitors. Event attendees will be able to handle the prototypes of the initial series of aids, discover their features and revisit some stages in the history of money and finance through a multi-sensory experience.
Come and join us at Banca d'Italia's stand to find out about the Museum's commitment to accessibility and how we use inclusive technologies to open up knowledge to everyone!
