MUDEM is once again participating in Global Money Week (GMW), the annual initiative promoted by the OECD from 17 to 23 March, aimed at raising young people's awareness of the importance of acquiring the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to make financial decisions that are consistent with their needs and means.
As part of this initiative - dedicated this year to the theme 'Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow' - MUDEM will meet three upper secondary school classes on 19 March at the Carlo Azeglio Ciampi Conference Centre, just a few steps from Villa Hüffer, the future home of the Museum.
The programme includes engaging students in the educational workshop 'Testa o Croce!', led by specialists from the Money Museum. Following a brief introduction on the various forms money has taken over time, students will participate in an interactive Kahoot! quiz dedicated to cognitive biases. The initiative is designed to strengthen their understanding of the importance of personal financial choices and the consequences those choices can generate.
The ultimate aim of the session is to foster reflection on the psychological factors that shape our financial decisions, drawing also on examples from the past for comparison.
You can find the full programme of events for this edition on the website of the Edufin Committee, which has coordinated the initiative in Italy since 2021.
