An accessibility project for Deaf people
From 27 February, Deaf people who use Italian Sign Language (LIS) will be able to visit The Adventure of Money with purpose-made LIS devices. The devices were co-designed by MUDEM with representative organizations and will continue to be refined while the preview exhibition is open, with a view to better define the future Museum's accessibility measures.
When they book their visit, Deaf people will be able to choose between two devices:
- a tablet providing LIS videos and subtitles
- smartglasses providing subtitles
This new chapter in the adventure is part of the broader process of making MUDEM a space where the public is at the centre, both in terms of inclusiveness and accessibility and of engaging all visitors cognitively and emotionally.
