The Money Museum is designing solutions to make its itineraries accessible
On 28-29 November, MUDEM will take part in HANDIMATICA, the exhibition-conference of the Fondazione ASPHI Onlus, which is dedicated to digital technologies for a society that is inclusive and accessible to everyone.
The theme at the heart of the 13th edition is 'Inclusive digital habitats - Technologies, accessibility and skills as resources for participation'. This initiative is aimed at people with disabilities and their family members, at the world of schools and research, at organizations and firms active in producing aids, and at organizations, associations and the general public.
As part of the more than 40 scheduled events, MUDEM proposes two meetings in the first two days with two time slots for the general public, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, which will take an in-depth look at the tools that can enable participation and inclusion in all aspects of life, such as a visit to a museum:
- 'A currency for everyone', on 28 November; Museum staff will present solutions based on the use of augmented reality, adopted to make future itineraries at the Money Museum accessible to deaf people
- 'Money at your fingertips', on 29 November; this tells the story of the work on designing MUDEM’s tactile itinerary for blind and visually impaired people.
