On 1 October 2026, MUDEM - the Money Museum will take part in Kid Design Week, a festival dedicated to education, creativity, design and innovation taking place in Terni from 29 September to 3 October. This is the first time MUDEM will be at the festival.
Now in its sixth edition, Kid Design Week brings together schools, cultural institutions, families and education professionals to explore new ways of learning and creating. This year's theme is 'Transformations' and children, young people and adults are invited to reflect on the changes that are shaping individuals, communities and society.
MUDEM will lead two workshops for students on Thursday, 1 October:
- 'MUDEM in the Classroom: the journey of money' is a multidisciplinary interactive activity that takes pupils on a journey through the origins, functions and evolution of money across different historical periods and cultures;
- 'Banknotes as you’ve never seen them' is a hands-on workshop that reveals some of the lesser-known features of banknotes, offering participants a closer look at the design, security features and stories behind paper money.
