Over 16,000 thanks from MUDEM!

The Adventure of Money at Palazzo Esposizioni Roma extended to 30 June 2024

Following record attendance for The Adventure of Money, MUDEM's immersive preview exhibition has been extended until the end of June.

Since its opening on 31 October, the exhibition designed by Paco Lanciano and Giovanni Carrada for Banca d'Italia has taken over 16,000 visitors on a journey through time, welcomed more than 7,000 students, and has hosted no fewer than 20 events.

All along, MUDEM has offered regular special tours for primary and secondary schools and held 68 sessions of educational activities and workshops. MUDEM's workshops are organized in partnership with the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali, the Italian research council (CNR), the Opera Nazionale Montessori and Banca d'Italia's Currency Circulation and Retail Payments Directorate General, enabling students to approach some of the key concepts of economics through games and practical activities geared to their age group.

At the Beyond the Adventure meetings, instead, experts and academics explored the themes of the exhibition through their research and original insights.

MUDEM is engaged in a running project to co-design and test solutions to enhance accessibility to the exhibition and to the upcoming permanent museum. The first three rooms of the exhibition have been made accessible to the blind and partially sighted with a tactile and multisensory tour. And there are devices providing Italian Sign Language videos for the use of Deaf people.

Museums and research institutes such as the Fondazione Datini (Prato), the Museo del Risparmio (Turin), the Uffizi Gallery (Florence) and, more recently, the Fondazione Prada have also been valuable partners and technical consultants.

This video is intended as a thank you to everyone who has followed us so far and to those who will tune in with MUDEM in the coming months.
