Banca d'Italia's Money Museum is a journey of discovery through space and time to learn about money and finance, providing an exciting experience for visitors of all ages.
The Money Museum (MUDEM - Museo della Moneta) was created to make the world of money and finance accessible to everyone and to stimulate the public to be curious and take an interest in these topics.
How? Through an immersive visitor experience that takes an entirely novel approach for a national central bank museum.
The Museum is an integral part of the educational project promoted by Banca d'Italia. It is based at the Carlo Azeglio Ciampi Centre for Monetary and Financial Education in Rome, in the splendid setting of Via Nazionale's Villa Hüffer.
There are two other venues alongside Villa Hüffer: the Numismatic Cabinet at Palazzo Koch and the Banknote Museum in Via Tuscolana, both in Rome.
