An authorial comic book that talks about money
Comics&Science - The MUDEM Issue - Bottlecap is a comic book produced by the Money Museum, CNR Edizioni and the Comics&Science team.
'What is money?' is one of the most complex questions facing financial education. Could we do without this object and the notion of it, which is an integral part of our lives?
To stimulate constructive thinking around these questions, Giovanni Eccher and Giuseppe Palumbo, the authors of the Bottlecap comic book, have imagined a post-apocalyptic scenario, in which traditional cultural, social and relational patterns no longer exist and institutions as we know them are unable to ensure order and security. In this kind of situation, because of fear, scepticism and the need to survive, people are likely to find it more natural and immediate to resort to violence, to try and get the better of one another, because they're afraid that they might lose in the next fight.
So, could money actually survive in such extreme and changing circumstances? And what form would it take?
