The Adventure of Money – From gold to the digital euro is a multimedia exhibition curated by MUDEM for the Festival dell'Economia di Trento 2025. Its aim is to show how money and finance have evolved over 5,000 years of history.
Monetary and financial instruments have maintained certain functions over time that are essential for making payments, storing savings and managing risk - even as they have changed in terms of form and range of circulation. The exhibition has been set up in collaboration with Trentino Marketing and will run from 12 April to 6 June 2025 at the Fondazione Caritro in Trento, illustrating the origins of finance, the emergence of banks, the role of central banks and future challenges, such as the rise of crypto-assets and the prospect of a digital euro.
