What can we do in response to young people's search for digital entertainment experiences that are increasingly stimulating from an emotional and cognitive point of view? On 25 November, as part of the 8th edition of Financial Education Month, the Money Museum will try and answer this question with its online presentation of 'MUDEMverse - Tycoons and time travel!', MUDEM's first video game, designed to bring young people closer to the world of money and finance.
During the event, which is specially dedicated to teachers and educators, MUDEM, together with experts in training, academics, representatives of Banca d'Italia and the creators of this video game, will set out the objectives and content of this new virtual financial education experience. The video game is inspired by The adventure of money, which will be the Museum's first itinerary.
The central debate will be about gamification and the new trends in museums and schools, the positive impact of using video games in class according to recent surveys carried out in Italian schools and the growing need for teachers to be trained to use new teaching tools.
The teaching materials that go with the video game will also be presented: a teacher's guide, with theme-based fact sheets providing further information on the topics covered in MUDEMverse, and worksheets for students, with games and quizzes to help them understand the game's key messages.
